They’re a relatively small keel template which allows for them to be used in a wide variety of boards without stiffening them up with too much surface area, rake, etc.
The Convertible Ono's are designed for surfers who want to ride their quad with keels. The fins are set back 3/4" to more closely mimic keel placement
